An update with what’s going on with The Deep Water Believers. We are getting closer and closer to a full release of the project, but to give something for everyone to watch I created another Teaser that we just recently filmed. Keep looking out for The Deep Water Believers.
I have just recently started a new job as a creative designer at IDProductSource. Right now my free time has obviously changed with this new position being a full time job and attending school full time as well, but more work will be uploaded in time. Also don’t forget to look over at what my friends and I are doing at Eyeandlevel.com!
My studio is all setup and is even ready for full body shooting. Another light would really help so i’m not just single light shooting but i’m happy with what is coming out of it so far. These are some black and whites of Kyleigh.
The shipwreck of Meduse in 1810, inspired “The Raft of Medusa”, by Theodore Géricault. Icon of French Romanticism. The history books say a raft carrying 146 men and one woman were piled into hastily built raft. The main ship ran into a sandbank. Other boats attempted to tow the 147 manned boat to safety but lost them after some 60 miles or so. For sustenance the crew of the raft had only a bag of ship’s biscuits (consumed on the first day), two casks of water (lost overboard during fighting) and a few casks of wine. After thirteen days the raft was rescued by accident. At that time only 15 survivors were left. The others had been killed off by their comrades, starved to death or thrown themselves into the sea in despair. The incident was a huge embarrassment to the French monarchy.
This shoot uses inspirations of this shipwreck and tries to capture the emotions and thoughts through a possible female survivor of the events that took place. The concept is very loosely base
I thought one of the first posts I posted in this blog should sort of set the tempo or show how far I would go with personal information within this blog. This post to me is extremely personal, and delves into something that scares me and bothers me daily. My brother Colin is two and a half years old and has a skin condition that is considered a form of eczema. He scratches at his arms, legs and sides along with his face, leaving marks and bloody patches all over his body. The condition seems to be stress oriented and he is very easily embarrassed if his marks are pointed out to him. I love my brother and hope that his condition eventually fades and doesn’t hurt him further into his life.

One of my main reasons for using this template for my portfolio is because of the blog feature being closer to me in hopes of keeping my work more consistent and progressing. This blog will hold many of my own works, from design and conceptualization beginnings to end product. I would also like to take some time to feature work and projects that I have found and love.
Other than what’s been said, If you are seeing this post then check out my new website and stay tuned for more.
